Grouting during large pressure gradient, such as for post-grouting, remediate grouting of dams are problematic. Typically grout curtains are constructed under dams as a barrier to prevent leakage from the reservoir, reduce uplift, and also prevent transport of fine material through the foundation. This report presents theoretical basis for a grout design for dams; however it is applicable for post-grouting design of tunnels.
